this is a perfect piece of concrete architecture in nasu, japan by kazunori fujimoto architects. so minimal, yet it looks perfect in the countryside, surrounded by nature. sometimes i think how stupid our laws are that prevent building in the countryside, when so many bad projects get built. but if someone wants to build their own house, there are so many laws and regulations that prevent new ideas, or sometimes even building. when for me good architecture doesn’t ruin the natural beauty, but adds to it. this couple who had a small weekend house built in the countryside are the lucky ones
