bake your cake and eat it

my sister in law bought one of the cake molds from openhouse by konstantine slawinski. and this is what she made. you can follow the recipe below and buy the cake mold here at the online shop . this cake mold ives you slices of all different sizes for those of us who are greedy and want a big one to those on a diet and just want a tiny one.

200g softened butter

200g caster sugar

4eggs

2drops of vanilla extract

200g plain flour

2 tsp baking powder

1-2 tbsp warm water if required

add butter and sugar together in a bowl and beat together well.
add 1 egg at a time into the mixture then beat well after each one.
add vanilla extracts.
sieve the flour and baking powder into the mixture then beat well untill light and fluffy.
if mixture is too stiff add the water.
put all mixture in the cake mould. put in a preheated oven. Gas mark – 4 (180c) or (350F) cook for about 40 mins or till skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean, leave to cool for about 10mins, then put cake on a cooling rack and leave a little longer.  then cut in half and fill with whipped cream and jam, fruit or any sweat thing you like
